Roadtrip 2021-2022 Winter: Seaside - Yachats - Brookings

Day 11 - Cape Perpetua

Woohoo - the sun breaks through!

The World-Famous Bench at Thor's Toilet.

A massive industrial spill from Yachats Meringue, Marshmallow and Eggnog has created this sticky, if very tasty coating on the coastline.

Dog is leaving. Photographer is not.

A wintery feel at the cape.

Further proof that dogs can't read (very well).

Somebody always wants to try out the flush mechanism.

Right next to the Toilet, the World-Famous Thor's Blowhardhole.

A slow drain and mild mist - after the flush.

In an astonishing display of spontaneous consciousness, the blob of sea foam becomes self-aware. It wants to meet Noam Chomsky. Right Now, piteous humans. And dog.

Some prefer their egg nog sea foam "on the rocks".

The crazy wet weather has turned mere dribbles into fast flowing falls.

Why am I in this vortex? We're no where near Sedona.

Not sure why - but every time we stroll this heavily dark and treed section of Perpetua - the most phenomenal things occur.

Perpetua does "Trees of Mystery".

The World-Famous Yachats Sunset Pier, which still draws worshippers in sleet and hail.

Thank goodness - our house is above the Tsunami line.

Yachats takes a shot at mustering up a sunset. Good try.
